For families

Like ChatGPT for your family's paperwork, but it all stays at home.

Ask in plain English: when school lets out, the doctor's number, what the insurance covers, when a bill is due. It answers from your own family files and names the file it used. Nothing goes to ChatGPT or any other company.

Price for a home: we work it out on a 20-minute call, before you pay anything. You also need one computer for it, about $1,150 to $2,200, unless one you have is fast enough.

Real answer from my test on a made-up family

Ivy's braces adjustment is coming up. When is it, and how much of the ortho does our dental plan cover?

Ivy's next braces adjustment is scheduled for October 28, 2026 at 3:45 pm. Your dental plan, SmileGuard Family Dental, covers 50% of orthodontic costs, up to a $1,500 lifetime limit per child.

Files it used: medical notes, insurance card details

The family, people and files are made up. I shortened the answer slightly.

For example

What you could ask it

It answers from whatever files you put on it, like these:

  • "What time do the kids get out of school on Wednesday?"
  • "What's the pediatrician's after-hours number?"
  • "When is the car insurance due, and how much is it?"

Why private matters

Your family's records stay in your home

Three in four Americans (77%) are worried about the privacy of medical information they give to AI tools. KFF health poll, March 2026

The federal health privacy law, HIPAA, protects your records at the doctor's office. It does not cover a chatbot company you hand them to. HHS

When the AI runs on a computer in your home, no AI company ever receives your family's information.

The difference

Where do your files go?

With ChatGPT, whatever your family type travels over the internet to another company's computers. With a private AI, your files, questions and answers stay on one computer in your home.

Private AI Set up in your home

YOUR HOME family files AI home computer your family Nothing goes out to the internet

Files, questions and answers stay on one computer in your home.

How it works

Four steps, all inside your home

  1. One computer in your home

I set up the AI on one desktop computer that stays in your home. You copy your files onto it, so I never need to see them.

  2. You ask

Each person signs in to a chat window on a laptop or computer at home and types a question, the same way they would use ChatGPT. Only people you add can sign in.

  3. It answers from your files

The AI on the home computer finds the answer in your files, writes it in plain English, and names the files it used. It does not use the internet.

  4. You can check

Open the named file to confirm the answer before you act on it.

The proof

I tested it before offering it

I made up a family of four with five everyday files: the kids' school schedule, medical notes, insurance card details, household bills and emergency contacts. Then I asked 8 questions a parent would ask, and ran the set 3 times.

24 of 24answers right, across 3 runs
About 5 secondsfor a typical answer on my test computer
Never guessedWhen the answer was not in the files, it said so.

These were short, clean files. Your real files, such as long PDFs and scans, are what the setup and tuning are for.

What it costs

We work out the price on a call

Every family's files are different, so I give you a price on a 20-minute call, before you pay anything. On the call we go over which files you want on it and whether a computer you have is fast enough.

Questions

Common questions

How much does it cost for a family?

We work out the price on a short call, before you pay anything. You also need one computer for it, unless one you have is fast enough.

What files can it read?

Files you copy onto it, like school schedules, medical notes, insurance details and bills. My test used short, clean files. Long PDFs and scans are what the setup and tuning are for.

Do you see our files?

No. Your family copies the files onto the computer, so I never need to see them, and no AI company ever receives them.

Isn't this just ChatGPT?

It works the same way: you type a question and get an answer. Two things differ. It runs on a computer you own, so nothing you type leaves. And it answers from your own files and names the file, instead of from the internet. When the answer is not in your files, it says so.

What computer do I need?

One store-bought computer, about $1,150 to $2,200: a desktop with a strong graphics card, or a Mac mini with plenty of memory. I tell you exactly which one to buy, or check whether one you have is fast enough.
